With its excellent performance and high integration, the Virtex family of products is widely used in telecom infrastructure, automotive industry, high-end consumer electronics, aerospace, medical and defense.

For example, in the telecom field, Virtex series FPGAs can be used for high-speed baseband processing, optical network transmission and wireless communication system design; in the automotive electronics field, they can be used for the development of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and autonomous driving system.

Product Series and Features

Virtex-2 series: with excellent platform solutions and built-in IP core hardcore technology to further improve performance, support for more than 20 I/O interface standards, and embedded multiple hardcore multipliers to improve DSP processing power.

Virtex-4 family: Integrating up to 200,000 logic cells, the Virtex-4 family delivers 500MHz performance and unrivaled system features based on the ASMBL architecture, providing a variety of development platforms to meet different needs.

Virtex-5 family: The world‘s first 65nm FPGA family, offering rich resources such as 330,000 logic cells and 1,200 I/O pins, with built-in advanced features such as PowerPC440, PCIe endpoints, and Ethernet MAC modules.

Virtex-6 series: Manufactured on a 40nm process, the Virtex-6 series reduces power consumption by up to 50% and cost by up to 20% over its predecessor, and offers several sub-families including LXT, SXT, HXT, and CXT to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

Virtex-7 family: The first FPGA family from XILINX to utilize a 28nm process, it offers high performance, low power consumption and flexibility, and provides multiple sub-families including XT, HT, H580T, each offering different application scope and functionality.
